Role Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Dealership Accountant for a full-time, on-site position based in Peterborough. The successful candidate will manage financial reporting, prepare monthly management accounts, oversee payroll processes, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, preparing budgets, managing financial audits, and analyzing operational performance to provide actionable insights to senior management. Collaboration with various departments to optimize financial operations and providing timely, accurate reporting are key aspects of this role.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in financial management, budget preparation, and financial reporting
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying trends and areas for optimization
* Experience with payroll processes and compliance with financial regulations
* Proficiency with accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information effectively
* A Finance, Accounting, or related degree with a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
* Experience in the automotive or dealership industry is preferred but not required
