Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores inside the M25. For all hours worked between midnight and 6am you will receive an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour worked. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It is our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you would like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
Availability and scheduling
The availability window describes the periods during which we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and provide 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. We are flexible with times if your availability closely matches but does not exactly align with the advertised times. Read more in the full job guidance.

Your responsibilities
* Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride; deliver natural service
* Be knowledgeable about store products and services
* Work across service, picking and replenishment areas as required
* Apply training to ensure safe, effective operation and excellent customer service
* Make decisions aligned with customer needs and store routines
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events; foster an inclusive atmosphere
* Understand store performance and contribute to driving service, sales, and profitability
* Handle products with care to maintain quality and condition for customers
* Represent Tesco values; follow policies and be welcoming
* Occasionally assist with receiving deliveries into the store
