Job title: Plater Welder Job location: Chesterfield What's in it for you? - Work for a growing business - Huge order book - Excellent rates - Exciting and varied work - Overtime (1.5x) Shifts: Days Hours per week: 40 Basic Duration: Permanent Start date: ASAP Rate: Up to £17.50ph (PAYE) Position Summary: Experienced Fabricator Welder required to aid in the production of various large scale fabrication projects for the Power Industry Candidates will be required to: * Understand and work from engineering drawings * Mark out and Fabricate as part of a team - according to engineering drawings - including rolling plate, use of oxy-acetylene to cut and manipulate material, tack and square fabrications. * Understand heat placement and weld sequencing * MIG Weld - undertake long runs in a variety of positions (uphill / overhead) * Work with press brake, rollers, guillotine, notcher, punch, rotor broach and pillar drill as required. Candidates will have: * City & Guilds or equivalent in a relevant Welding qualification. * Previous experience in coded welding * Experience of MIG and TIG welding - Mild Steel / Stainless * Experience of fabricating own jobs * Experience of working with heavy and large scale fabrications Successful candidates will be asked to attend a weld test.
