Role Overview: We are seeking a People Officer to deliver core HR and payroll processes with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring a high standard of service across the business. Acting as the first point of contact for people and payroll queries across the UK & Ireland, you will also support employee benefits, HR reporting, and key employee lifecycle processes. Key Responsibilities: HR Responsibilities: Provide first-line HR support and guidance to managers and employees. Support employee relations activities, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management. Assist with developing and implementing HR policies aligned with business strategy. Manage onboarding, probation, changes to terms, and offboarding processes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records in compliance with GDPR. Support broader HR initiatives such as learning and development and engagement surveys. Stay informed on changes to employment law and HR best practices. Produce timely and accurate HR reports. Support ad-hoc HR projects. Payroll Responsibilities: Process monthly payroll for the UK & Ireland accurately and efficiently. Liaise with finance teams and external payroll providers to submit data and resolve queries. Manage payroll changes including starters, leavers, salary adjustments, and statutory payments. Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and pension auto-enrolments. Maintain accurate payroll records for finance and audit purposes. Support year-end payroll processes (e.g., P60s, P11Ds). Calculate holiday entitlements for part-time employees. Administer and maintain employee benefits. Manage Maternity, Paternity, Shared Parental, and Adoption leave processes. Skills & Experience: Strong background in payroll administration. Experience in HR administration or advisory roles. Proficient in Excel. CIPP or CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
