**Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer:**
Design and develop new mechanisms and machine systems to meet project requirements.
Adapt existing designs to support customer specifications effectively.
Collaborate with downstream departments to execute new and existing designs, identifying opportunities for design improvement and value engineering.
Conduct design reviews, Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEAs), and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEAs).
Support assembly and manufacturing processes in building and commissioning machines, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of health and safety.
**Qualifications Required:**
A minimum of an HNC in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Previous experience with CAD software is preferable, ideally Siemens NX.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
Strong ability to understand engineering drawings and work collaboratively across various departments.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
