Job Title: Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home Location: Burton-on-Trent Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded children's care provider seeking a Deputy Manager for a 3-bed EBD children's home in Burton-on-Trent. The home is Ofsted-rated 'Good' and provides a stable, therapeutic environment for children and young people aged 8-17. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker or current Deputy Manager looking to join a settled team and a well-run home with a strong emphasis on child-centred care and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of the home Lead by example and promote a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed environment Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to support staff Contribute to care planning, behaviour management strategies, and safeguarding Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks Participate in on-call duties and assist with rota management and shift coordination Actively promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children in your care Requirements Essential: Minimum 2 years' experience in a children's residential setting Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Working knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards Strong safeguarding awareness and ability to lead a team effectively Full UK driving licence Desirable: Experience in a Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker role Therapeutic or trauma-informed care experience Willingness to complete Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare What's on Offer Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience) Supportive and experienced Registered Manager in post Stable home with a committed and long-serving staff team Career development opportunities, including progression to Registered Manager roles Training and support tailored to therapeutic practice INDDM Leader Recruitment Group is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
