The DSEAR Project Engineer will assist in delivery preparation activities during the operational life of programmed work, providing full project guidance and reporting, and supporting the Senior DSEAR Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
* Write detailed and accurate risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
* Undertake site surveys, take measurements and photos, ask questions of operations, understand processes, and assess access and egress.
* Resolve technical and logistical issues as they arise.
* Support sites’ needs, including materials, labour, resources, and plant.
* Drive and lead procurement of materials through creation and review of bills of materials.
* Evaluate, organise and prioritise workload within the schedule.
* Attend client meetings and liaise with clients.
* Regularly report project progress and updates to Senior Management.
* Programme management: adhere to programmes and report discrepancies to management.
* Deputise for line management duties of the Senior Engineer when required.
* Ensure compliance with DSEAR and HSE regulations.
* Provide support to the management team.
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience with DSEAR and/or COMPEX.
* Relevant engineering degree or HND, BTec, professional Level 5 award or equivalent experience.
* Competent in MS Excel and MS Word.
* 18th Edition Electrical certification is desirable.
* Ability to manage own workload to meet priorities and deadlines.
* Ability to write detailed reports.
* Understanding of financial cost control (supportive).
* Understanding of water and wastewater industry and processes is preferable.
* Valid UK driving licence.

Location & Additional Details
Locations include Bellshill, Edinburgh, Dalgety Bay, Dunfermline, Riccarton, Motherwell, and other Scotland-based sites. Roles may be full-time with potential flexible arrangements depending on the role.
