Residential Support Worker | Ilford, London | Full-time, 40 hours per week over 5 days, working a mix of day shifts (8:00 am–8:30 pm) and night shifts (8:30 pm–8:00 am) | £13.50 – £15.00 per hour (£28,000 – £31,000 per year) + £65 per sleep-in shift

They are seeking Residential Support Workers to deliver tailored 1:1 key work sessions, motivating and encouraging young people in education, apprenticeships, and employment, while supporting them to develop essential life skills for independent living.
Are you the right person for the job?
* Experienced in working within an Ofsted-regulated environment (such as a school or children’s home)
* Confident in safeguarding and child protection practices
* Caring, resilient, and patient, with a genuine passion for supporting young people
* A good communicator and team player
What will your role look like?
* Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a role model
* Support children with daily routines, schoolwork, and extracurricular activities
* Engage them in community activities such as museum trips, football, gardening, and karting
* Help develop independence through life skills like chores and preparing healthy meals
* Always safeguard children and follow their care plans
* Keep accurate records and reports
* Work closely with colleagues and managers to ensure the smooth running of the home
* Take part in team meetings, training, and regular supervision
What can you expect in return?
