Job Summary
THIS POST IS SECONDMENT FOR UP TO 12 MONTHS DUE TO MATERNITY COVER
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an MDT Cancer Services Coordinator based at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.
The successful candidate will proactively assist with managing patients through their urgent cancer pathway. The post holder will collaborate with various staff and departments to ensure appointments, diagnostics, and treatments are booked, reported, and available in a timely manner to meet patient needs, service demands, and national targets.
We require a hardworking, motivated individual with excellent communication skills, IT literacy, and a good understanding of computer packages. Great organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize work are essential. Attention to detail and confidentiality are also critical.
The role is varied and fast-paced, requiring adaptability, deadline management, and teamwork.
English and/or Welsh speakers are encouraged to apply.
Main Duties
* Provide administrative and information support to cancer site-specific multidisciplinary teams.
* Collate, record, and validate data for submission to national and Wales-wide audits, including Cancer Peer Review and Cancer Standards.
* Ensure all patients are treated within national targets, proactively identifying delays and escalating issues to the clinical team.
