The role of Restart Room Manager is to support the enhancement and operation of the learning environment of the school, with a particular focus on the pastoral management of the students. Supporting in the provision of a high-quality education for the students of the school.
Key duties include:
11. To monitor and communicate the overall behaviour, attendance and progress of students within a designated community.
12. Pastoral care and academic progress of students across the Communities
13. To manage and lead the Restart Room ensuring that appropriate tone and discipline is maintained.
14. To contribute to progress by managing student behaviour to ensure that all work is completed.
15. To reduce barriers to learning by supporting students with behaviour management issues.
The Successful candidate will need to have:
16. Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths
17. Experience of working with young people in a learning environment
18. Ability to apply behaviour management policies and strategies which contribute to a purposeful learning environment.
19. Understanding of relevant policies, codes of practice, legislation.
20. Must be able to use own initiative, work independently, motivate and inspire with a creative approach to problem solving. (Growth mindset)
21. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
22. Must have the ability to work calmly under pressure and have the ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing circumstances/situations.
23. Knowledge of BromCom is an advantage, although training will be given.
