*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. This role requires technical expertise, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. The Heating Engineer will play a vital part in ensuring our clients' heating solutions operate efficiently and effectively.
*Duties*
* Install, service, and repair heating systems including boilers, radiators, and ventilation units
* Conduct routine maintenance checks to identify potential issues before failure occurs
* Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing techniques to complete installations and repairs
* Perform mechanical tasks such as assembling components and fitting pipework using carpentry and assembly skills
* Carry out heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely in accordance with health and safety regulations
* Troubleshoot system faults accurately using mechanical knowledge and basic maths for calculations
* Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each job
* Assist with the installation of ancillary systems such as ventilation or cooling units where required
* Drive company vehicles to various sites, adhering to all commercial driving regulations
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or similar role with a strong understanding of heating systems
* Proficiency in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and the use of hand tools and power tools
* Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals
* Physical fitness capable of heavy lifting and working in confined or elevated spaces
* Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting tasks
* Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving duties
* Experience with assembly work and the use of various tools is desirable
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and safety compliance
