Located in the former Mayflower restaurant, COALHOUSE is a Smokehouse and Taproom serving authentic American barbecue, craft beers, and vibrant cocktails across two floors. Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will possess a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional guest services. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and memorable.
Duties
* Greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
* Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all guest requests are met.
* Serve food and beverages while adhering to food safety standards.
* Assist with food preparation as needed, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
* Handle cash transactions and perform basic math calculations for billing purposes.
* Engage with guests to enhance their experience through upselling menu items.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of food.
* Maintain a clean and organised front of house area, including tables, floors, and restrooms.
* Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
* Previous restaurant experience is preferred, particularly in a front of house role.
* Strong hospitality skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary experience is advantageous.
* Basic math skills for handling payments and billing accurately.
* Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
* Experience in serving or kitchen roles will be beneficial.
