SITE ENGINEER - ENVIRONMENT DURHAM What you will be doing: An opportunity has arisen for a Site Engineer to join the team at Galliford Try within our Environment Business. Ideally, you will based in or around the Durham area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region. You will work on our Northumbrian Water Framework within our Environment Business, who are experienced in successfully delivering schemes of varying sizes, predominately to the Water Industry, across both Treatment Waste and Water schemes. As a Site Engineer, you will provide setting out/engineering control on site. It will be your role to coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities and provide information to operatives and subcontractors. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for completing diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required, undertaking material reconciliations, ensuring all surveying equipment is calibrated, carrying out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings and producing 2D and 3D site sketches. Our Environment Business has entrepreneurism and innovation at its heart. Part of your role as Site Engineer will be identify and assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovations on site. Your role forms an essential part of the site delivery team, it will be down to you to assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring all works undertaken in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and maintaining the as-built records, as well as assist in planning, monitoring, and programming. About You: As well as an ability to read and interpret data and drawings, we are seeking individuals who are confident with standard setting out techniques and the ability to use Level and EDM, preferably with a knowledge of GPS. To be successful in this role, you’ll demonstrate a flexible attitude to work and display strong problem-solving skills. Previous relevant business experience or transferable skills gained in other areas and a working knowledge of one functional area through job experience or training is desirable, but not essential. Working on site, we’d like you to have SMSTS and CSCS. However, we will support you in covering any training needs. You will also be able to demonstrate the following key attributes.
