Clerical Officer/Receptionist – Business Support

Apply for the Clerical Officer/Receptionist – Business Support role at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff and delivering acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to over 1.15 million people.


Shift Pattern and Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (various times). This is a permanent part‑time post with salary pro‑rata for part‑time hours.


Key Responsibilities

* Support Main Reception and act as first point of contact for visitors, enabling effective service and communication within the Health Centre.
* Handle a varied and interesting daily workload, including first point of contact for making appointments for Treatment Rooms across Glasgow city.
* Cover afternoon posts in event of leave at short notice.
* Carry out a range of administrative tasks delegated by Senior Business Support Assistant and the wider team.


Qualifications and Skills

* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work without direct supervision.


Experience

* Knowledge of Microsoft packages essential.
* Experience working with EMIS, PECOS systems desirable.
