Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Transport Coordinator (Internally known as Logistics Coordinator) to join our fast‑paced transport operation at Allied Bakeries in Stockport, North West.
Annual Salary: £39,330. Shift Pattern: 4 on – 4 off rotating days and nights 6am–6pm / 6pm–6am.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and motivating your shift team to hit daily targets.
* Ensuring a safe working environment and promoting a strong safety culture.
* Supporting the Front Line Manager and stepping up when needed.
* Managing day‑to‑day shift operations and resolving issues quickly.
* Building strong relationships across Despatch, VMU, and other teams.
* Carrying out safety and performance audits.
* Ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance.
* Communicating clearly and positively with drivers and colleagues.
* Using your knowledge of EU driver regulations and fleet compliance to support smooth operations.

Requirements
* Experience in a Coordinator, Supervisor or Managerial position.
* Experience in a fast‑paced environment – ideally in transport or logistics.
* Confident communicator who can lead, motivate and engage others.
* Organised, adaptable, and calm under pressure.
* Comfortable with multitasking and prioritising on the go.
* Flexible and reliable – ready to support the team when needed.
* Strong IT skills – SAP experience is a bonus.
