Kingsbarns Distillery

Housed in a beautifully restored 200-year-old listed building, just
15 minutes from St Andrews
and adjacent to Kingsbarns Golf Links, the Visitor Centre provides a unique and high-quality setting for events.
We are now recruiting an
Events Manager
who can
maximise the full potential of the venue
, while promoting the spirits brands, with a focus on bringing in new business.
Role Description:
We are seeking a full-time, on-site
Events Manager
to lead and grow our events programme, for both on-site and off-site. This hands-on role involves:
* Marketing and promoting our visitor experiences as premier event offerings
* Driving growth for the business in events to achieve annual targets
* Planning, costing, organising, and managing a range of events, including weddings, corporate functions, dinners, tastings, and private experiences
* Managing client relationships and ensuring exceptional customer experiences
* Seeking collaborative relationships within the golf and tourism sector as well as with other activity providers.
* Overseeing event logistics from initial enquiry to post-event follow-up

Essential Experience & Skills:
* Sales and marketing experience
* Excellent communication and networking skills
* Experience in 5-star customer service and client relationship management
* Proven event planning and management skills
* Strong organisational and logistical capabilities
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT, with the ability to produce quality presentations and communications.
Desirable Experience & Skills:
* Degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field
* Experience within food & beverage/hospitality industry – dinner service or fine dining
* Experience within the scotch whisky industry
Additional information:
Please note that the role will also involve an element of duty management, to allow for cashing up and locking up, as well as assisting with the running of the visitor centre if staffing requires.
While flexible working arrangements can be considered, please be aware that the job is primarily on-site and, with 7-day opening, will inevitably involve some weekend work.
