Position
Minor Civils Engineer
Location: Millbrook Sewage Treatment Works, Hampshire Region (Southampton, Hampshire)
Job Type: permanent, full time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 50 hours per week (start times to be discussed at interview)
Salary: Competitive, depending upon experience

About The Role
Due to continued growth and development, we are now looking for customer focused people to join us in our Utility Division, working on our Southern Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to waste-water network and drainage problems.
Responsibilities
* Ensure materials are stocked from the depot for all work planned, including sewer chamber covers, cement, resin, tarmac
* Prepare the boiler system for the tarmac at the depot, ensuring the correct temperature is reached
* Conduct an onsite risk assessment, supported by appropriate photos
* Deploy traffic management as per processes and RAMS, and evidence with photos
* Complete a service avoidance of the area for cables and services alongside documenting photos (CAT and Genny in particular)
* Repair and replace broken sewer chamber frames and covers referring to the SOP F&C PMMA step-by-step installation guide: remove defected sewer chamber cover, measure the area to cut, lay the bed and frame, and lay resin, tarmac and chippings with photographic evidence
* Ensure any waste left on site is cleared and confirm with pictures
* Review any changes to the Standard Operating Practise and adhere to amendments
* Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and responsibilities towards them
* Perform any other reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by management

You must have a minimum of a HGV Class 2 licence and you must have completed the certificate of professional competence (CPC) and an up to date digi tachograph card.
