The role

As the Key Account Manager, you will manage and expand existing accounts within your sales territory, leveraging your scientific, publishing, or marketing background to foster relationships at all levels.

You will be an integral part of the Sales team. This is a full-time hybrid role with some attendance at our Bath office. You will report to the Account Development Sales Manager.

Responsibilities include:

1. Articulating the value of SelectScience to decision makers and providing a consultative approach to match solutions to client needs.
2. Building and maintaining relationships at all levels within accounts to promote engagement and long-term partnerships, coordinating with other departments such as Client Services and Editorial.
3. Using diverse strategies including face-to-face (international), virtual meetings, telesales, digital tools, and exhibitions to prospect, qualify, and close new opportunities.
4. Achieving sales targets and providing regular forecasts, market feedback, and strategic ideas.

Essential requirements:

* 10+ years of B2B sales experience in a consultative, commercial environment within science, publishing, marketing, or related fields.
* Knowledge of the scientific industry or a science degree/technical background.
* Proven success in developing and expanding accounts.
* Track record of exceeding annual sales of £900k.
* Ability to manage time and priorities independently.
* Experience in managing international travel efficiently.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and digital tools.

Desirable skills:

* Experience in relationship-based sales and solution selling.
* Familiarity with Salesforce, Monday.com, HubSpot, LinkedIn Navigator, AI tools.
* Understanding of digital publishing and content marketing sales.
