Class Teacher – Additional Support Needs

Permanent
This is an exciting opportunity to join the staff team at Glaitness School.
Glaitness School is a mainstream primary with additional resourcing to support pupils with a wide variety of learning needs. We require an enthusiastic and independent person who would enjoy being part of an inclusive, whole-school team. Within the additional support needs provision, we provide significant and creative adaptations to the curriculum and learning experiences for children and young people with moderate to severe complex needs. Our children and young people are supported by experienced and dedicated Support for Learning Assistants.
The role involves leading a team within the class and contributing to wider school improvements. The learning environment uses play-based and multi-sensory approaches. A child-centred approach is employed to meet individual needs. Some learning experiences take place outside the school environment in the wider community. Supporting close partnerships and working with parents, carers, and other key partners are essential to this role.
