Catering Assistants / Kitchen Porters Henley Regatta – Monday 29th June to Sunday 5 th July 2025 £13.65 per hour Regatta is a six-day event set in the grounds of Phyllis Court Club, on the banks of the River Thames. We will have a number of dining venues and options during the Regatta ranging from pizza’s, BBQ and buffet to fine dining. Working under the guidance of senior catering staff, the catering assistant will be required to support in the provision of the catering. You will ensure that the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with our health and safety policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for assisting in serving meals and stocking the staff canteen in a timely and efficient manner. The Kitchen Porter role will also work under the guidance of the senior catering staff and will be required to empty bins, sweep and mop floors, also ensure all equipment is clean and put away correctly. These roles are very hands on, and a proactive approach is essential. CRITERIA FOR BOTH ROLES You must be at least 18 years of age to apply for this role. You must be available for work for the full 7-day period between Monday 29 th June and Sunday 5 th July 2026 – early shifts starting as early as 08.00am and late shifts ending as late as midnight. Full training will be given. Ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly. Good personal hygiene and good communication skills, written and verbal are required for both roles QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS YOU WILL NEED FOR BOTH ROLES Ability to lift, carry and stand on your feet for 8 to 10 hours each day. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to work long hours. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Ability to use initiative and work independently without direct supervision. UNIFORM FOR BOTH ROLES Comfortable clothing, jeans or work trousers and T-Shirt, closed toe shoes with a good sole (no Flip Flops or sandals).
