An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Future Skills and Learning Technology workstream as a Leadership and Learning Analyst. This position will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of Nationwide’s principle learning architecture, Grow Learning (Learning Experience Platform - LXP). The role is responsible for supporting a range of key deliverables relating to Grow Learning. This includes coordinating the reporting of management information (MI) for key stakeholders and supporting Grow Learning MI data requests. Strong analytical skills and confidence in working with data are essential for this position. In addition, the role works collaboratively with members of the Learning Technology team to administer Grow Learning, assists users with queries via a central mailbox, as well as providing guidance on using Grow Learning to view, create and curate learning content on the platform. Role holders should have a proactive attitude and a real enthusiasm for using digital technologies to support learning and development. They should also have the skills to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to support the delivery of Grow Learning and the wider learning architecture at Nationwide. The successful candidate can gain a fully funded Level 3 Data & Insights for Business Decisions apprenticeship qualification, with the possibility of further development upon completion. This 13-month apprenticeship program is structured to provide participants with a comprehensive foundation in data analysis, empowering them to utilise data effectively to address diverse business challenges. The Future Skills and Learning Technology team sits within the Leadership and Learning (L&L) department, one of the professional practices within the People Function. The L&L practice delivers the society’s learning strategy, which includes Grow Learning, core essential learning, leadership development and future skills. The focus of L&L is to develop and embed future skills and behaviours of our leaders, managers, and colleagues, so the Society wide business can deliver its strategy and meet customer needs. As the Leadership and Learning Analyst is a crucial role in supporting the maintenance and delivery of Nationwide’s LXP and supporting customer operations, availability to work 5 days a week (Mon-Fri) is essential. However, we are open to discussing opportunities to support flexible working over 5 days, whereby we explore time commitments between work responsibilities and the undertaking of an apprenticeship. What you’ll be doing The Future Skills and Learning Technology workstream focuses on maintaining Nationwide’s Learning Experience Platform (LXP), Grow Learning, with the goal to create an engaging platform for all colleagues, fostering a culture of learning within the organisation. The Leadership and Learning Analyst role involves coordinating management information (MI) reporting within the Learning Architecture workstream. You’ll track key deliverables, monitor performance metrics for Grow Learning and assess the return on investment (ROI) for third-party content providers. Additionally, you’ll collate MI data for reporting purposes and insights for key stakeholders, and support MI data requests by creating self-serve dashboards and scheduled reports using the LXP’s data analytics tool. As part of the core Learning Technology team, your responsibilities will also include monitoring the Grow Learning mailbox, promptly responding to colleagues’ queries and when necessary, escalating issues to our LXP provider’s technical support. You will support the administration and configuration of Grow Learning, ensuring platform integrity through system enhancements, permission management, and access requests. The role also actively supports the governance and audit of Grow Learning, which includes producing guidance materials on learning content creation and curation. Additionally, you’ll support the maintenance of the Viva Engage and MS Teams environments for Grow Learning, ensuring information remains up-to-date and responding to colleagues’ queries via these channels. About You Strong planning and organisational skills, demonstrating agility to manage and own multiple competing priorities and deliverables. Experience using data analytic tools. Proficient skills in Excel - ability to understand, analyse and interpret data and build insights to inform and improve practice (e.g. use of advanced charting, PivotTables and advanced formula (e.g. VLOOKUP). Evidence of creating presentations and reports for a range of stakeholders. Ability to use stakeholder management skills to keep stakeholders updated on progress. Enthusiastic about learning and development with a drive to deliver at pace, keeping things simple to create value for our colleagues and our business. Good verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to adapt style to suit specific audiences.
