The Overview This role involves taking full ownership of the inspection and quality control processes within a precision engineering environment. Working as part of a small, highly skilled team, you’ll inspect complex components to tight tolerances using a range of manual and automated metrology equipment. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining the highest standards of quality. Key Responsibilities • Inspect precision components and tooling to tight tolerances. • Operate and maintain inspection and metrology equipment, including CMMs, optical scanners, and microscopes. • Verify components against engineering drawings, CAD data, and specifications. • Record, report, and communicate inspection results accurately. • Maintain calibration records and ensure equipment is operating correctly. • Support production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement. • Ensure all quality assurance processes meet company and customer standards. • Contribute to process development to improve right-first-time manufacturing. • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised inspection area.
