Overview

People's lives will be truly changed by you as you enable and prepare them to gain new skills and help them find ways to promote their long term recovery. As a Peer Support Worker, you will work as part of a team to devise individually tailored support and risk management plans and ensure the smooth day to day running of the service. Ultimately, you'll play a vital role in helping them to gain skills and coping strategies, all while encouraging positive change and independence. The role involves offering support face to face with residents in the community, individually and within group settings. You will be part of the team at Hunger Hill and you must have a lived experience of mental health.


Responsibilities

Qualifications and Skills

* Have a lived experience of mental health.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to demonstrate understanding and empathy.
* Ability to provide advice and emotional support to individuals.
* Ability to deal effectively and calmly with challenging situations.
