Overview
The main duties of a Catering Assistant Retail at Burton Hospital are to work as part of Facilities to carry out tasks associated with food preparation, and food and beverage service to patients, visitors and staff. You will deliver good principles of customer care with helpfulness, awareness and compassion to patients, visitors, staff and colleagues. Cleaning duties within the kitchen and other associated areas will be carried out in accordance with departmental cleaning schedules, including equipment, work surfaces crockery and cutlery.
We are recruiting to Catering Assistant Retail in the Coffee Shop at Queens Hospital Burton. We are looking for compassionate, caring, hardworking, flexible team members who are committed to enhancing our patient experience. All staff working for UHDB play a key role in the organisation. You must possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team and have a can-do attitude. Ideally you will possess a good understanding of Mathematics and English. A good understanding of customer care and the ability to communicate well with patients, staff and visitors is important. Catering experience and a Food Safety Certificate are desirable but not essential; skills and technical training will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Deliver food and beverage service to patients, visitors and staff as part of Facilities.
* Provide high standard of customer care with helpfulness, awareness and compassion.
* Carry out cleaning duties in the kitchen and associated areas in line with cleaning schedules, including equipment, work surfaces, crockery and cutlery.
* Work as part of a team to support the patient experience.
