Clinical Nurse Educator - Medical Specialities. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Band 7 Practice Educator who will be based at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. This post is 22.5 hours a week and is within the Emergency Care & Medical Specialties Directorate. This post will be a job share.
We are seeking a motivated, innovative registered nurse who will be based at IRH but will also be involved in Local and Corporate Work plans for Clyde as part of the Clyde Educators Forum. The post holder will have at least 5 years post registered experience with a minimum of 2 years at Band 6 or above. They must demonstrate the ability to work with all levels of the workforce to implement change and support ongoing development. They must be clinically competent with the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate experience of managing complex projects to completion. Applicants should be a registered Nurse with current NMC registration and;
Responsibilities
* Support and supervision of learners in practice settings at Band 6 or above.
* Mentoring, teaching and facilitation in a range of clinical and educational settings.
* Evidence of working at post-graduate level (or equivalent).
* Work with Local and Corporate Work plans for Clyde and participate in the Clyde Educators Forum.
* Lead and manage complex projects to completion and contribute to ongoing development initiatives.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
* Extensive experience at Band 6 or above, including supporting and supervising learners in practice settings.
* Demonstrated experience of mentoring, teaching and facilitation in a range of clinical and educational settings.
* Post-graduate level (or equivalent) qualification or experience.
