Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant Immediate start until July 2026 £90 - £105 per day ‘Good’ primary school, Ward of Selly Oak SEN support for Autism and ADHD About the role: Provide calm, consistent 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Autism and ADHD. You’ll break tasks into clear stages, use visual timetables/now-next prompts, rehearse routines, and coach regulation and social communication. Expect short, evidence-informed sessions in literacy and numeracy, with tight feedback loops to class teachers and the SENCO. About you: A psychology (or related) graduate who observes carefully, communicates plainly, and adapts quickly. You hold firm but fair boundaries, reduce prompts over time, and keep pupils moving towards independence. Requirements Degree – 2:2 or above in any subject. Communication – Clear, confident written and spoken English. Enhanced DBS – Held already or willingness to obtain. Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in SEN, child development and wellbeing. Experience working with children – Relevant experience (SEN support, mentoring, tutoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
