We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven individual to take on the role of Project Engineer, focusing on pre-mobilisation,
design coordination, and project delivery.
LEGIONELLA RISK ASSESSMENTS & COMPLIANCE
* Conduct comprehensive Legionella risk assessments in line with ACoP L8, HSG274 and relevant British Standards.
* Produce clear, accurate and detailed written reports for clients, with recommendations for remedial actions.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of clients' water systems and develop tailored control schemes.
WATER TREATMENT & REMEDIAL WORKS
* Carry out routine water monitoring and sampling (temperature checks, dip slides, pH, conductivity, etc.)
* Perform chlorination and disinfection of water systems, tanks, and pipework in accordance with BS 8558.
* Implement minor plumbing remedials (dead leg removals, TMV servicing, tank inspections and cleanings).
* Conduct closed system analysis and dosing as required.
TECHNICAL & CUSTOMER SERVICE
* Liaise with clients, providing professional advice and updates on compliance and performance.
* Maintain service records and logbooks in accordance with contract requirements and legislation.
* Identify opportunities to improve water system efficiency and safety for the client.
Requirements
* City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Water Treatment, Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental
* Science.
* Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (e.g., City & Guilds accredited or similar).
* Full UK driving licence.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in water treatment and water hygiene services.
* Proven experience conducting Legionella Risk Assessments in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG274.
* Experience carrying out routine monitoring, cleaning, disinfections, and sampling of domestic hot and cold water
* systems.
* Comfortable working in a range of environments, including healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial sites.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance, including Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations, ACOP L8,
* HSG274, and BS 8558.
* Understanding of closed system treatment (e.g., heating/cooling circuits) and basic BMS awareness.
