Editorial Assistant - 4 days a week - Hybrid \n \nWe are currently recruiting for a Editorial Assistant to start immediately for 5 months to join the Strategic Communications department in the College.\nPart time -4 Days a Week 28 hours \nIdeally in the office on a Tuesday and a Wednesday \nThe role is Hybrid- 2 days in the office and 2 days from home and working on a full-time basis and is paying a competitive 29,768 - £32,646 £18.73 - £20.54 an hour depending experience \n\nWHO WILL YOU BE WORKING FOR?\nOur client is an established non-profit healthcare membership body. \n \nWHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?\n\nTo organise, attend, take notes at the Publications Management Board, journal Editorial Boards, and general meetings held by the Publishing Team. Circulate notes and actions in a timely manner and in accordance with College policy. \nTo manage and maintain Editorial Board records, recruitment and training, and engagement, including training of the online submission system and coordinating regular newsletters and updates to the boards.
\nTo process book royalty payments for the College’s books backlist \nTo support Managing Editors with processing of journal content, including extras, book reviews, and obituaries \nTo provide support in finalising digital content for the journals and books, e.g. checking transcripts and captions for podcasts and videos \nTo support with posting about new journal content on social media. \nTo support and attend activities of the Publishing Team at conferences and events ABOUT YOU?\n \nExperience of liaising with partners and stakeholders to deliver agreed plans and objectives \nExcellent interpersonal and oral communication skills \nExperience using an online manuscript processing system \nExperience in STM publishing \nFamiliarity with academic content and papers \nFamiliarity with design software, e.g.
