Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons tailored to pupils with varying abilities and needs (including ASC, SEMH, MLD, and complex needs).
Promote physical literacy, teamwork, confidence, and resilience through a broad curriculum of sports and physical activities.
Adapt equipment, resources, and teaching strategies to ensure accessibility and inclusion for all learners.
Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, and other teachers to provide a holistic learning experience.
Contribute to extra-curricular activities, enrichment programmes, and whole-school wellbeing initiatives.
Maintain high expectations of behaviour, while using positive behaviour support strategies in line with school policies.
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) – with a specialism in Physical Education.
Experience of working in SEN settings or a strong willingness to learn and adapt teaching approaches.
Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for inclusive sport and physical activity.
A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and enabling every young person to achieve their full potential.
