About Electric Twin
Most organisations make their biggest decisions on a thin slice of evidence — a handful of customer calls, one survey, instinct when the data runs out. Electric Twin changes that. Were a behavioural simulation platform that lets organisations test ideas, messages, and decisions against synthetic populations — digital twins of real audiences — and get answers in minutes that would otherwise take weeks.
The work is grounded, and the engineering is real. Weve run over 40,000 evaluations across populations covering 155 countries. Independent academic research with Professor Michael Muthukrishna at the LSE found our outputs come back roughly 10,000× faster than traditional methods, at 95% accuracy. AI is part of what we build, but it isnt the product. The hard work is system design, data, orchestration, and making outputs trustworthy enough that people act on them. Running population‑scale simulations is a systems problem as much as a science one — foundation models, behavioural data, evaluation pipelines, and the infrastructure that holds them together, with real engineering problems at every layer.
Electric Twin was founded by Dr Ben Warner (former Chief Data Advisor to the UK Prime Minister) and our CEO, Alex Cooper (a former senior military commander and Director of Mass Covid Testing in the pandemic). Were backed by top tier investors including Atomico, LocalGlobe, Mercuri, and angels including Marc Andreessen. We have a high‑class team of engineers, AI researchers, behavioural scientists, and operators — careful with the science, careful with the responsibility.
The Role
Were looking for a hungry, proactive generalist to support our Operations team for the summer. This isnt a passive role, youll get stuck into real processes, find whats broken, and help fix it. Youll also help plan and deliver company events, owning the details from end to end.
If youre the kind of person who spots an inefficiency and immediately starts thinking about how to automate it, this role is for you.
What Youll Do
Process & Automation
* Map existing operational processes across finance, HR, and security, and identify opportunities to streamline.
* Explore and propose automation solutions, using tools like Claude, Google Apps Script, and no-code platforms.
* Support the build and ongoing refinement of company dashboards, helping ensure we have clear, accurate visibility across key operational metrics.
Events
* Support the planning and execution of internal and external company events.
* Think across all angles — logistics, communications, vendor coordination, day‑of experience — and take ownership of your workstream.
Finance
* Gain hands‑on exposure to bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliations, and expense tracking.
* Help keep budgets and financial records accurate, supporting our accountants on ad‑hoc tasks.
Information Security
* Support the maintenance of our ISO 27001 compliance programme, keeping documentation, policies, and evidence logs current.
* Help prepare the business for SOC 2 certification, including gap analysis support and control documentation.
What Were Looking For
* Proactive, resourceful, and hungry to make an impact.
* Comfortable using AI tools (especially Claude) to solve problems and get things done faster.
* Confident enough to write and run basic code if needed — curiosity matters more than credentials.
* Organised and detail‑oriented, with an ability to think across multiple workstreams.
* Any exposure to finance admin, information security, or events is a plus.
* A genuine interest in how early‑stage companies operate and scale.
