Overview:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced BIM Coordinator to join a highly regarded landscape architecture and urban design team on a contract basis. This role will play a crucial part in driving and managing BIM processes across a range of UK and international projects - ensuring design quality, technical excellence, and efficient delivery.
Working within a collaborative, design-led studio environment, this position offers a great balance of creativity and technical responsibility, with the flexibility of a hybrid setup.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage, coordinate, and deliver project-specific BIM data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with standards.
2. Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting across Revit, ACC/BIM, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, and SketchUp.
3. Mentor and train team members on BIM best practices, workflows, and emerging digital tools.
4. Implement and maintain BIM standards and workflows in alignment with ISO .
5. Develop and manage detailed Revit models for landscape and urban design projects.
6. Conduct clash detection and coordinate resolution of design conflicts across disciplines.
7. Produce 3D visualizations and supporting materials for design development and presentations.
8. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and clients to ensure seamless BIM integration.
9. Contribute to the preparation of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDP), and other project documentation.
10. Support sustainable design integration within BIM processes.
11. Keep up to date with the latest BIM technologies and proactively enhance workflows and project delivery methods.
About You:
12. Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator or BIM Technician, ideally within landscape architecture, masterplanning, or urban design.
13. Track record of delivering medium to large-scale projects using BIM methodologies.
14. Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Rhinoceros familiarity with GIS, site analysis tools, or AI-based design platforms is a plus.
15. Sound understanding of BIM standards and protocols (ISO preferred).
16. Experience with visualization tools such as Lumion and/or Twinmotion.
17. Good understanding of sustainable design principles and their integration within BIM workflows.
18. Excellent communication and coordination skills, able to work effectively with multiple disciplines.
19. High attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
20. Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
21. BIM and/or Revit certifications advantageous.
22. Knowledge of Dynamo, Grasshopper, and scripting is desirable.
23. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is beneficial.
