Job Title: Attendance Officer

Salary: £100 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated Attendance Officer to join a dynamic secondary school in Chesterfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and experience working in education or pastoral roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor daily student attendance and follow up on absences.
Carry out home visits when necessary to support families and encourage school attendance.
Maintain accurate attendance records in line with school and safeguarding policies.
Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to address attendance concerns.
Produce reports and support data analysis to identify attendance trends.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role or within an education setting.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Proficient in using school management systems or similar databases.
Possess a patient, empathetic and proactive approach to working with children.
Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
