The governors of St Mary's Catholic Primary School are looking to appoint two teaching assistants to work alongside others and under the guidance of class teachers and the headteacher. Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate in a positive, encouraging manner are essential qualities. The successful candidates will play a key part in assisting in the delivery of an exciting curriculum for 30 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will:
•Have experience of being a teaching assistant within a primary setting
•Have worked with children with specific learning, physical and social needs.
•Be a good team player with excellent interpersonal skills
•Have high expectations of pupil behaviour
•Contribute to the ethos of a friendly, happy school, in which the personal development and well-being of the children is given the highest priority
•Be supportive of our Catholic ethos, mission and values

As this post will result in you having substantial contact with children, and/or vulnerable adults the successful applicant will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Services check. It is a legal requirement for some categories of support staff to be registered with the Education Workforce Council for Wales.
