Our client, a successful and modern accountancy practice, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing organisation. In this role you will be working in a friendly and fast-paced environment overseeing a team of Management Accountants / Bookkeepers
The ideal individual will have previously worked within a practice environment and have strong interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality and have experience of managing a small team.

* 37.5 hour working week 8am-4pm OR 8.30am-4.30pm OR 9am-5pm
Role responsibilities:
* Supervise and mentor a team of 5 (Management Accountants / Bookkeepers) including completion of PDP's
* Allocate client work effectively, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
* Provide technical guidance and support to staff
* Ensure smooth transition and integration of new clients into the practice workstreams
* Prepare and review complex management accounts, including group consolidations
* Deliver cash flow forecasts and budgeting models tailored to client needs as and when required
* Review and sign off VAT returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy
* Step in to cover management accounts and bookkeeping duties during staff absences
* Maintain high standards of service continuity and client satisfaction
* Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements
* Identify process improvements and contribute to practice development
Skills and Experience Required:
* ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
* Practice experience desirable, with experience of leading and developing a team
* Client focused with an initiative-taking approach to problem solving
* Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, and management reporting
* Experience in software packages (Xero, Dext, Telleroo, Fathom and Excel) desirable
* Experience with group consolidations and forecasting tools is highly desirable
