Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
A fantastic specialist secondary school in Brent is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join their team from April 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment where students with special educational needs are empowered to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that encourages student confidence and independence.
* Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and support staff.
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to ensure continued development.
* Work closely with colleagues, external professionals, and families to provide holistic support for students.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to the ongoing development of SEN provision within the school.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with students with SEN, ideally in a secondary or specialist setting.
* Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and the ability to differentiate lessons effectively.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Enhanced DBS check required.
