In this role, you’ll be at the frontline of supporting residents who are most at risk, making sure they’re safe, respected, and able to access the support they need.From domestic abuse and mental health, to substance misuse and hoarding, you’ll work with individuals, families, and partner agencies to provide hands-on support, risk assessments, and safeguarding interventions. We also offer an optional nine-day fortnight scheme, allowing you to compress your hours if it suits the role.What you’ll be doingTake on and manage safeguarding referrals for adults and children at riskProvide frontline support to residents experiencing domestic abuse, mental health challenges, substance misuse, hoarding, or other safeguarding concernsCarry out risk and needs assessments, create safety plans, and deliver both emotional and practical supportWork within a multi-agency framework (including MARAC and local safeguarding partnerships) to coordinate effective support for victimsAdvocate for residents, ensuring barriers to services are removed and that they understand their rights and optionsSupport residents with advice around housing, health, finances, and legal/civil remediesPromote a culture of early intervention and tenancy sustainment to reduce risks and prevent crisis situationsKeep detailed, accurate case management records and contribute to performance monitoringWhat we’re looking for:We’d love to hear from you if you:Have at least 3 years’ experience managing safeguarding cases in housing, social care, or local authority settingsHold a safeguarding qualification (or equivalent in areas like social work, domestic abuse, criminal justice, or substance misuse)Have strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies, and best practice for both adults and childrenAre experienced in risk assessments, case management, and working with complex or multiple needsUnderstand domestic abuse, its impact on survivors and families, and relevant civil/criminal remediesHave excellent communication skills both written and verbal and are confident advocating for vulnerable residentsThrive in multi-agency partnership working, influencing outcomes, and problem-solvingAre resilient, empathetic, and committed to creating safer communitiesIf specific qualifications are required, please upload them with your application to demonstrate your eligibility.At PA Housing, we believe in respect, integrity, and accountability.
