Compass Associates are proud to be working with one of the country’s leading providers of specialist education, to recruit an experienced Speech & Language Therapist for one of their Shropshire schools.
The school provides specialist education and therapeutic support for children, aged 7-18, who have learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, many with additional attachment disorders, ADHD, anxiety, emotional difficulties and/or challenging behaviours. The curriculum is tailored to each pupil, depending on their learning style and individual needs, whilst supporting them to gain further skills in independence, managing behaviours and social communication. The school is located in the Shropshire countryside and has excellent facilities including a Forrest School, outdoor gardens, sensory rooms and spacious classrooms.
As the school’s Speech & Language Therapist, you will hold your own caseload and carry out comprehensive assessments, formulate therapy plans and deliver individualised interventions. You’ll be part of the school’s wider Therapy Team which includes an Educational Psychologist, who is the Lead Clinician, as well as an Occupational Therapist, Psychotherapist and Therapy Assistant.

Candidate
The successful candidate must have:
* A recognised degree in Speech & Language Therapy
* HCPC registration
* Experience working with children and young people who have learning disabilities and autism
