What you'll be doing
Barlborough is an Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgery Hospital. You will provide anaesthetic services to support elective orthopaedics and spinal surgery. You will be part of a state-of-the-art anaesthetic team delivering advanced anaesthetic techniques to enable patients to be discharged on the same day after knee and hip replacements.
Your role includes providing pre- and post-operative assessment of patients and delivering high-quality written information to the patients’ GPs. As a key member of the centre’s team, you will work closely with our Consultants across various specialisms, the Medical Director, Marco, and the local Leadership Team. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of Clinical Quality Standards and participate in audit and clinical governance programs.
What we’ll look for in you
You should have a current registration with the GMC’s specialist register of anaesthetics and several years of experience, with at least 2 years in the UK. You are committed to ongoing medical education and professional development. We support your continuous competence through participation in GMC and Royal College of Anaesthetists revalidation and reaccreditation schemes, as well as our in-house education programs. Opportunities to develop into a specialist role of your interest may also be available.
