Our Quality Assurance department provides services to our own trust and a number of commercial and other NHS clients. As part of the broader Pharmacy department, we are ambitious, continually developing our services, and committed to staff development.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Microbiologist with experience in NHS or pharmaceutical and environmental monitoring to lead and develop a small team providing services to NHS and commercial clients.
The successful candidate will manage the microbiology section of the Pharmacy Quality Control Laboratory, ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practice standards in accordance with national standards and MHRA licensing.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
* Working knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, likely contaminants, clean room design, and environmental pathogens.
* Client relations skills, including advising customers on testing implications and guidance on actions to take.
* Experience supporting clients and the trust in quality assurance, including Quality Management Systems and audit processes.
