Working with us means being part of a team that is harnessing technology and creativity to disrupt a traditional industry. We are not your average workplace. We are seeking an Electronics Engineer to design, develop, and integrate electronic hardware for our fleet of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) and Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs). You will work at the forefront of marine robotics, developing systems that must perform reliably in some of the harshest environments on earth. This is a hands-on role requiring both deep technical expertise and a practical mindset. You’ll contribute to the full lifecycle of electronics design — from concept and schematic capture through to PCB layout, prototyping, validation, and support during build and trials. What you will do Design, develop, and integrate electronic hardware for AUV and USV platforms, including power distribution, control systems, and sensor interfaces. Produce detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and design documentation to industry standards. Select and evaluate components with consideration for reliability, environmental conditions, and lifecycle support. Work closely with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to ensure robust integration of electronics into marine vehicle systems. Develop and execute test plans for validation, qualification, and troubleshooting of electronic systems. Support system integration, commissioning, and sea trials, providing hands-on problem-solving in real operational environments. Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to review technical deliverables and ensure compliance with specifications. Contribute to the continuous improvement of electronics design processes, tools, and standards within the team. Who you are Contribute to the continuous improvement of electronics design processes, tools, and standards within the team. Experience in electronics design and development for marine, defence, robotics, or aerospace applications. Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, and design tools (e.g. Altium, OrCAD, KiCad). Strong understanding of power systems, signal integrity, EMC considerations, and embedded hardware design. Hands-on experience with prototyping, validation, and debugging of electronic systems. Ability to work across disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electronics into complex vehicle systems. Familiarity with electronics standards and practices for harsh or safety-critical environments. Desirable Experience with electronics for autonomous vehicles, marine robotics, or subsea systems. Knowledge of microcontrollers, FPGA-based systems, or embedded software integration. Experience with environmental and compliance testing (e.g. shock, vibration, IP rating, EMC). Familiarity with marine classification rules, subsea safety standards, or defence standards (e.g. MIL-STD). Previous exposure to vehicle commissioning and participation in sea trials. Salary : The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
