Offer description

The appointment is to commence on 6th August 2025 for a fixed term period of 12 months. An MBChB or equivalent is essential. The post does not award a National Training Number. As this post is not recognized as a 'training post', full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required. If the appointee does not hold the right of residence in the UK, sponsorship will be required. The duties of this post are equivalent to F2 and appropriate for an individual who has completed F1 and F2 competencies.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Essential: Registered with the GMC with a licence to practise
* Essential: Basic Medical Degree


Clinical Experience

* Essential: Satisfactory completion of F1 and F2 competencies
* Essential: 12 months NHS Experience
* Desirable: Experience of infection management (Infectious diseases or microbiology)


Teaching and Training

* Essential: Experience of teaching medical students and junior doctors


Continuous Professional Development

* Essential: Evidence of participation in CME/CPD in the last 12 months
* Desirable: Maintenance of a CPD diary or portfolio


Management and Administration

* Desirable: Awareness of current issues in NHS


Clinical Governance and Audit

* Essential: Committed to and understands the principles of clinical governance
* Essential: Understands the principles outlined in the GMC document Good Medical Practice
* Essential: Understands the requirements of Medical Appraisal and Revalidation


Personal Attributes

* Essential: Demonstrates behaviour consistent with PROUD values (see appendix)
* Essential: Good time management skills
* Essential: Good oral and written communication skills
