Join Our Team as a Male Support Worker in Winnersh/Wokingham!
Location: Wokingham, RG41 (Just a 16min walk from Winnersh Train Station)
Pay Rate: £12.31 per hour
Position: Full Time (37.5 Hours)
Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
This role involves supporting four gentlemen in their 50s–60s in a registered care home to live fulfilling and independent lives. You will work as part of a dedicated team in Wokingham, helping them to engage in meaningful daily activities.
What Will You Be Doing?
* Promoting Independence: Assist with daily tasks like personal care, budgeting, meal preparation, and shopping.
* Encouraging Activities: Support outings to the cinema, sensory sessions, football matches, and arts and crafts, or enjoy an arts and crafts afternoon together.
* Providing Tailored Care: Offer specialised support, including PEG feeding for one individual, and maintain established routines.
* Maintaining the Home: Help with housework and meal planning to ensure the environment remains welcoming and comfortable.
* Building Relationships: Work closely with families and other team members to create a positive and engaging atmosphere.
Shift Patterns
* Long Days: 8am – 8pm. Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work–life balance.
