Service Manager (Adult Safeguarding) | 3 months interim | £500pd Max | South West
Castlefield Recruitment are working with a Local Authority client in the South West who are looking to recruit an Interim Service Manager
The role is offered on an interim basis, initially for 3 months, and the client needs a candidate who can start at relatively short notice.
The Service Manager will lead a key portfolio of adult services, with strategic and operational oversight of the following areas:
1. Adult Safeguarding
2. Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
3. Young Adults Transitions Service
4. South Community Adult Social Work Team

As a Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading responsive and effective services that safeguard and empower adults and young people in transition.
Key Responsibilities
5. Provide strategic leadership across your portfolio areas, ensuring statutory compliance and best practice
6. Lead, motivate, and support multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-performing services
7. Drive improvements in safeguarding practice, quality assurance, and outcomes for adults and young people
8. Ensure effective and lawful implementation of the DoLS framework and prepare for Liberty Protection Safeguards
9. Work closely with stakeholders, partners, and communities to co-produce inclusive, accessible services
Requirements
You’ll be a values-driven leader with a strong background in adult social care, safeguarding, and managing complex operational services with:
10. Extensive experience in managing adult services at a senior level.
11. Sound understanding of safeguarding legislation, DoLS, and transitions.
12. A collaborative, accountable, and inclusive leadership style.
13. Excellent communication, partnership working, and decision-making skills.
