Rate of pay
- The Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 per hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
Hours and flexibility
- New colleagues joining us are offered a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you would prefer to work fewer hours, a minimum of 12 hours is also available.
- We will schedule contracted hours within the advertised availability windows and provide 3 weeks’ notice of shifts. We are flexible if your available times are close to, but not exactly, the advertised times.
You will be responsible for
* Delivering your part of the customer shopping trip by keeping the van and trays clean and tidy.
* Leaving the back yard clean and picking up litter as needed.
* Ensuring trays are washed as part of the tray wash process.
* Loading the van as required and checking the van for roadworthiness.
* Discussing any changes to customer orders, including substitutions, and offering refunds if customers are unhappy.
* Handling products/deliveries with care and delivering within the customer’s time slot.
* Communicating with customers about substitutions and confirming no extra charges where applicable.
* Calling the customer prior to arrival if arriving early and calling the store if running 30+ minutes late.
You will need
* Build relationships with colleagues to promote team spirit and ensure the store delivers great service.
* Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, understanding customer needs and expressing thanks.
* Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace store change.
* Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations, balancing home and work life.
* Share ideas with your Manager and colleagues on how to improve the store for customers.
* A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
