Job Title: Lead Product Configuration & Change
Location: Glasgow, Bristol, or Portsmouth – flexible hybrid working options available, please discuss with your recruiter.
Salary: Up to £51,645 (dependent on skills and experience)
Responsibilities:
* Provide governance and assurance for Configuration Management through documented processes.
* Define effectiveness measures for Configuration Management capabilities.
* Collaborate with Canadian and BAE Systems stakeholders on design development and control.
* Develop and coach program teams in Configuration Management processes.
* Train and implement Configuration Management capabilities effectively.
* Work closely with Product Change Management colleagues.
Skills and Experience:
* HNC/HND in engineering, technology, or science.
* Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) / Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as TeamCenter or Windchill.
* Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience in a similar industry.
* Knowledge of product baselines and the end-to-end engineering lifecycle, including Configuration Management lifecycle.
Engineers should have a relevant STEM qualification and be recognized as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers. Support for achieving professional accreditation will be provided. Preference will be given to candidates who are already registered professionals.

The Team and Role:
This role is part of the Canadian River Class Destroyer Programme, working cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders. You will define, document, and implement processes for formal control of RCD design, liaising with Canadian enterprise configuration teams and internal BAE Engineering teams to ensure adherence and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.
