A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Sports Coach to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Knowsley on a full-time basis. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students who have faced challenges in mainstream education. About the Role: The PRU supports pupils who have been excluded from mainstream schools and need a positive role model to help them re-engage with learning. As a Sports Coach, you will deliver dynamic and inclusive sports sessions that promote teamwork, resilience, and confidence, while helping students develop a love for physical activity and healthy lifestyles. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging sports and physical education sessions tailored to individual needs. Encourage teamwork, communication, and personal development through sport. Support students in building confidence, resilience, and positive attitudes. Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support holistic development. Manage challenging behaviour effectively, creating a safe and supportive environment. What We’re Looking For: Experience working with young people, ideally in PRU or SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) settings. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. A genuine passion for sports and the ability to inspire and motivate. Resilience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
