We are looking for an experienced and driven
Project Manager
to lead delivery of a major highways development in Oxfordshire. This is a career-defining opportunity to take full responsibility for the successful planning, execution, and completion of a large-scale infrastructure project.
You will oversee the entire construction phase, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure that safety, programme, and budget targets are consistently achieved.
What You'll Be Doing
As Project Manager, you will:
* Lead the delivery of a major highways project, managing the construction phase from mobilisation through to completion.
* Oversee and coordinate the site team, including Site Agents, Engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
* Take full ownership of project programme and budget, reporting progress to senior stakeholders.
* Develop and implement project management plans, including Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental strategies.
* Manage relationships with clients, consultants, and statutory bodies, ensuring excellent communication and stakeholder satisfaction.
* Provide strong leadership to drive a proactive safety culture across all project activities.
* Work with commercial teams to monitor costs, manage change, and protect project margins.
* Anticipate and mitigate risks to programme, quality, and budget.
* Ensure accurate project reporting and compliance with company Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
* Produce a comprehensive project close-out report, capturing lessons learned and performance outcomes.

* Proven track record as a Project Manager (or Senior Site Agent ready to step up) in highways or large-scale civil engineering projects.
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate large project teams.
* Excellent commercial awareness and contract management experience.

* The drive to deliver projects to the highest standard, on time and within budget.
