The Role

What the School is Looking For
This permanent English ECT position will suit candidates who:
Hold QTS or are in the final stages of a UK-recognised initial teacher training programme
Graduated with a 2:1 or above in English, English Literature, or a closely related discipline from a reputable university - Russell Group or equivalent strongly preferred
Have experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting through timetabled placements or the start of an ECT year
Can demonstrate the ability to plan well-structured, progressive lessons that produce clear and measurable gains in pupil literacy and analytical skills
Are able to manage a classroom confidently within an established whole-school behaviour framework
Hold full legal entitlement to work in the UK - visa sponsorship is not available through this school
This role is open to candidates completing or having recently completed formal UK teacher training only.
Salary & Contract
Inner London MPS: £40,317 to £52,300, with UPS up to £62,496. Starting salary will reflect ECT status, with clear and supported progression as induction is successfully completed.
