Overview

Post Office Counter Clerk / Customer Team Member – Blakemore Trade Partners

Role involves supporting store management and delivering a positive customer experience within a SPAR/Post Office environment. 16 hours per week with various shifts; age requirement 18+.


Responsibilities

* Greeting customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
* Answering customer inquiries about products and services and assisting customers in finding items.
* Processing customer purchases efficiently and accurately through tills, maintaining a positive service.
* Upselling selected products and highlighting multi-buy offers to maximise sales.


Store Operations

* Stock handling: checking deliveries, stocking shelves, maintaining a clean and organised sales floor, rotating stock to ensure freshness and timely expiration dates.
* Completing additional tasks such as date checking, stock and gap checking, price changes, promotional displays and other tasks as required.
* Adhering to all company policies and procedures.


Key Skills/Knowledge

* Previous experience in a similar role and/or Post Office experience preferred.
* Excellent attention to detail; reliably follows instructions.
* Understanding of retail legislative responsibilities and ability to assist with adherence.
* Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving business forward.
* Experience with a ‘Challenge 25’ policy desirable.
* Keen and enthusiastic approach to working in a team and independently.
* Cash handling experience preferred but not essential.
