Equans is seeking a Combustion Operations’ Manager to join our team in Reading on a permanent basis. This full-time role offers a 40-hour workweek, a competitive salary, a company vehicle or allowance, bonus, and benefits package.
The role involves managing the mobile combustion team across multiple contracts, ensuring compliance, employee qualifications, PPMs, reactive and quoted works are completed on time and within budget, providing excellent service to all contracts.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing the financial performance of contracts.
2. Overseeing personnel to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
3. Managing risks related to safety, health, environment, and quality through assessments, PPE, training, and procedures.
4. Operating Permit to Work systems according to company and client requirements.
5. Reviewing audits for legislative compliance and escalating issues.
6. Ensuring statutory and company procedures are followed.
7. Carrying out PPM and reactive tasks as per specifications, documented in real-time.
8. Promptly addressing plant faults and defects.
9. Maintaining a commercial understanding of contractual deliverables.
10. Collaborating to develop performance improvement objectives.

Candidate requirements:
* Gas Safe certification and registration.
* Experience managing gas teams and contracts.
* Relevant M&E qualifications are advantageous.
* Experience with CAFM systems and Microsoft Office.
* Full clean driver’s license.
* Strong communication, teamwork, client relationship skills.
* Self-motivated, flexible, and available for out-of-hours rota.
